The first student with the gold medal in the National Campus Singing  Contest was a girl named Liu Ruoyu. Liu Ruoyu, a student of Class Six in Grade Eight won the first prize in the third Campus Singing Contest and became the top ten Best Campus Singers of Shenzhen. She attended the National Campus Ssinging contest on behalf of Shenzhen and won the gold medal.
